Best practices for push notification reminders

Push notifications are coming to Simply Remind Me in 2023.

Push notifications are reminders that are sent (or pushed) from Simply Remind Me directly to your web browser. Your web browser will then show them as a pop-up message.

This pop-up is shown whatever website you are viewing - you don’t have to be using Simply Remind Me or even logged into it!

If your web browser is not running, however, the reminder will not be delivered until the next time you open it. Therefore we recommend you either:

• set up another form of reminder (e.g. email, SMS, phone call) so you can still receive reminders at the correct time if you’re not at your computer
• or, use the option “send a push notification when any other reminder is set” so you always receive push notifications to your browser automatically whenever any other reminder is sent to you
